What is EAT with Matt DeMille?

EAT with Matt DeMille is a thoughtfully curated dining experience that brings the chef, along with the best of Prince Edward County’s food and wine, to your table. A social dining experience, Matt invites you into the kitchen where he’ll share his recipes, tips and techniques and teaches the diner about the provenance of the ingredients they’re about to prepare.


How does it work?

Matt creates dining experiences and menus that reflect the changing seasons and products that grow with them. Each season offers its own special flavour and he includes key ingredients that reflect the terroir of the region. You select from the meal packages available on the website and Matt will arrive at your kitchen equipped to create culinary magic.

Our private chef option allows you to host your guests, worry free, while the chef prepares an amazing 3-course dinner. If you choose it, the interactive element invites you and your guests to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, creating your masterpiece. We clean up and leave you to bask in your successes and hopefully utilize the skills you’ve learned in the process!


Do we supply our own beverages?

Diners will have the option to pair their meals with specially selected wine, beer and cider from the PEC region that have been hand selected by the chef and the winemakers and brew masters who create them. Dinner wine pairings are approx. 6oz pours per course, but extra wine/beer/spirits can be added for an additional cost.

If you have a special vintage that you’d like to include, Matt will be happy to work them into the menu.


Do we need to supply our own dishes?

WE’VE GOT YOU! Our fees include any tableware and serving ware that you’ll need to make your dinner shine. We’ll supply a checklist of dishes and vessels for each meal package available. We are equipped to supply all of the dishes, flatware & glassware we’ll need to create dinner magic. If you wish to use your own dishes we are happy to oblige but please be advised that we can’t be responsible for unforeseen accidents and damage.


How do I book an interactive dinner with Matt?

You can submit a booking request and we will get back to you to confirm the date. A 50% deposit is required to reserve the selected date. The balance can be paid on the date of your dinner.


What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and major credit cards. We will have SquareApp reader onsite for credit card payments and we will email receipts within 24 hours of your event.


Do you travel outside of Prince Edward County?

We're based in Prince Edward County but are happy to travel! There is a travel mileage charge for anywhere outside of our 50km radius - Toronto and Ottawa are approximately $100 extra.


I have food allergies/sensitivities, can you accommodate me?

Matt will work with the booking host to navigate some food allergies. We are happy to provide you with alternative ingredients in most cases but we always prefer to use fresh, local ingredients when we can and not factory processed substitutes. Please be advised that tree nuts, gluten, dairy and soy (and just about every other ingredient) are present in our prep kitchen.


What if I have to cancel my dinner?

If you wish to cancel and are unable to rebook, all that is required is your $100 non-refundable deposit. If you’re unable to host your event but would like to re-book a later date, we are happy to transfer your deposit. 48 hours is appreciated for every cancellation.
